Laser ablation 4JET
Description
Function: The system removes functional coatings from glass surfaces, which can include conductive layers, low-emissivity (LowE) coatings, and metallic layers.
Process: It uses laser abrasion (ablation) to precisely remove the coatings without heating or damaging the underlying glass substrate.
Technology: multi-beam technology to increase processing speed. The system is controlled by high-speed scanners on a CNC-controlled gantry for precise, automated operation.
Applications: The technology is used in various industries, including:
Automotive: For cleaning and patterning coatings on windshields and other glass parts.
Architectural: For producing smart windows and other functionally coated glass products.
Photovoltaic: For structuring solar modules.
